Design, forge, and wear home your own piece of Bali.

Silver Jewelry Making Classes · Uluwatu

THE WORKSHOP

Some souvenirs are bought.
The finest are made.

In a quiet bamboo studio above the cliffs of Uluwatu, Balinese silversmiths guide you from raw metal to finished jewelry — a ring, a pendant, a keepsake designed by you, forged by you, and worn home the same day.

THE HOUSE

A Balinese house, not just a workshop.

Walk through a carved candi gate into bamboo halls, a garden with the Peace Gong, Balinese art in every corner, and a café open to everyone. Bring your phone — there are four photo spots waiting.

THE CRAFT

Four steps, one afternoon.

  1. A guest at the round teak bench with her sketchbook, hammer and punches
    01

    Begin on paper

Sketch your own form or draw from the house patterns — a ring, a pendant, a talisman.

  2. A torch flame on the soldering block beside a bamboo tool cup
    02

    Fire and grain

Pure silver melts over the torch, is poured, cooled, and rolled into workable wire.

  3. Shaping silver on the bench block with a jeweler’s hammer
    03

    The silversmith's hand

Saw, solder, and hammer beside an artisan whose joins have held for generations.

  4. Polishing a silver piece on the wheel
    04

    Finish to a mirror

File, sand, and buff until the metal holds light — then wear it home.

GOOD TO KNOW

What is a silver class in Uluwatu?

A guided session in which you make your own piece of silver jewelry with a Balinese silversmith. At Bali Jewelry House it lasts one to two hours, includes one to six grams of pure silver and every tool of the bench, and you wear the finished ring, pendant, or earrings home the same day.

How much does the silver class cost?

The Silver Class is Rp 650.000 per person. The Couple Silver Class is Rp 1.250.000 per couple, the Brass Jewelry Workshop — brass with gold plating included — is Rp 500.000 per person, and private group sessions of five or more are quoted on request. Silver, tools, a silversmith, and a welcome drink are included.

Do I need any experience to make silver jewelry?

No. Every class is guided one-to-one, and your silversmith handles the flame until you are ready for it. Most guests have never held a jeweler’s saw before they sit down.

What can I make in one class?

A ring is the favorite and fits comfortably in the one to six grams of silver included. Pendants, earrings, and simple bracelets leave the bench every day; larger designs can add silver at Rp 85.000 per gram, gemstones from Rp 200.000, or gold plating for Rp 250.000.

How do I book a class?

Send your date, class, and party size on WhatsApp and we answer the same day. A day ahead is usually enough; in high season, two or three. Walk-ins are welcome whenever a bench is free.

Where in Bali is the workshop?

At Jl. Toya Ning I, Ungasan, in Uluwatu on the Bukit peninsula in the south of Bali — about 15 minutes from Uluwatu Temple, Padang Padang and Bingin, and 20–25 minutes from Jimbaran and Nusa Dua. Tap the map on the contact page for directions.

Do you have a gold jewelry class?

Yes, by appointment only. Send us a message on WhatsApp and we plan the gold class with you. The Silver, Couple, Brass and Group classes run every day.

Can I eat and drink at Bali Jewelry House?

Yes. The café serves coffee, fresh juices and smoothies, lunch and desserts, and you are welcome to come for the food and the photo spots even without a class.
